~ Sabar~

Entry kali ni adalah pasal kesabaran...... nape tajuk die mcm nie... ntah la.. =)

Di saat wajah yang lesu dan kaku,
aku sentisa berdoa agar allah buka kan seluas2nya pintu rezki untuk ku,
aku sentisa berharap,

Panduan Untuk Calon Yang Akan Menghadapi Temuduga : General Jobs Vacancy Interview Tips

This also i got from kedah2u.com

Tip 1 : Plan Ahead
Be Prepared ! Do a little homework ! Browse through the employer's website and learn something about the company before you attend your interview. Research the company and the position if possible, as well as the people you will meet with at the interview. Review your work experiences. Be ready to support past career accomplishments with specific information targeted towards the companie's needs. Prepare your facts and get them right !

Tip 2 : Role Play
Once you have finished your research, begin role playing (rehearsing). Write down answers if it helps to make your presentation more concise. Try to keep your answers to the information your new employer will want to know.

Tip 3 : First Impression Counts
You never get a second chance to make a first impression ! Dress professionally and appropriately (according to the job you are applying for). Flip-flop sandals and singlet are definitely out.

Tip 4: Be On Time !
If possible, try getting to the venue before the actual interview day to see how long it will take. Public transport may be unreliable, you may have been stuck in heavy traffic, but however reasonable your excuses are, it won't affect the fact that your chances are reduced if you are late. Remember that first impression counts ! Worse comes to worst, if you are going to be late, ring your interviewer(s) and let them know.

Tip 5: Be Positive !
Never criticise past employers, other candidates or whoever but particularly within the industry. Focus on positive achievements and views. In particular, avoid negative comments about past employers. And don't talk too much ! You may be shooting yourself in your foot (literally) when you disclose too much of information that you do not wish to be known in the first place.

Tip 6: Encourage
Encourage the interviewer to share information about his or her company. Demonstrate your interest.

Tip 7 : Eye Contact Maintain
Eye contact with your interviewer. Show that you want the job with interest.

Tip 8 : Adapt and relate
Listen and adapt. Be sensitive to the style of the interviewer. Try to relate your answers to the interviewer and his or her company. Focus on achievements relevant to the position. Talk about specific achievements ! Interviewers like to know how you felt about a particular success. Some will ask for specific examples of things you've done that you're particularly proud of ; how you solved problems ; how you learned - and improved - from difficult situations.

Tip 9 : Be honest !
There really is no point lying about your background and / or skills. If you get caught, or even manage to get away with it by getting employed and then get found out, you can be sure you won't be around for long ! Job interviews are about matching needs - if there isn't a good match, then, chances are that the job won't work out.

Tip 10 : And finally, don't give up !
The fact is that you will not be offered every job you applied for, however perfect you think you may be for it. Feedback from interviews where you have been turned down can be invaluable for improving future results. Ask politely if they can give you any feedback. Always remember that there is a job out there for you somewhere

Panduan Menyediakan Resume (profil diri) Untuk Memohon Pekerjaan : How To Write A Good Cover Letter Tips

This i got from kedah2u.info

What is a Cover Letter ?
A Cover letter to a job application is like the book cover to any books. A cover letter is the attention-grabbing introduction that is attached to your resume in a job application. In these letters you are explaining who you are and why you are writing to the person who is reading your resume. It is only proper for you to introduce yourself when you are requesting something of them, in this case, an interview.

Cover Letters Should Be Brief and Simple
Remember that recruiters have to read so many resume applying for only one position, out of which, they will select a few candidates for interviews. In order to secure that interview, cover letters should ideally be only one page long. Many people provide lengthy autobiographies in the cover letter. Never repeat your resume in your cover letter. This is a waste of the writer's and reader's time.

Cover Letter Content
In the first two paragraphs, mention the position you are applying for and how did you learn of the opening for the position.

In the subsequent two paragraphs, tell your prospective employer why you are perfect for the position. And finally end your cover letter by informing whether you will be calling them or you will be waiting for their phone call to call you for an interview.

Remember, NEVER use the same cover letter for all your job application. And never ever attempt to take the easy way out by copying your friend's cover letter and just change the details. You cannot cheat the recruiters. Be individual and write a customised cover letter just for that one application to show your genuine interest in getting that job.

~How to Dress for an Interview~

The first impression you make on a potential employer is the most important one. The first judgment an interviewer makes is going to be based on how you look and what you are wearing. That's why it's always important to dress professionally for a job interview, even if the work environment is casual.
What's the appropriate dress code for an interview? You'll want that first impression to be not just a good one, but, a great one. The candidate dressed in a suit and tie is going to make a much better impression than the candidate dressed in scruffy jeans and a t-shirt.

How to Dress for an Interview:

Men's Interview Attire
  • Suit (solid color - navy or dark grey)
  • Long sleeve shirt (white or coordinated with the suit)
  • Belt
  • Tie
  • Dark socks, conservative leather shoes
  • Little or no jewelry
  • Neat, professional hairstyle
  • Limit the aftershave
  • Neatly trimmed nails
  • Portfolio or briefcase
Women's Interview Attire
  • Suit (navy, black or dark grey)
  • The suit skirt should be long enough so you can sit down comfortably
  • Coordinated blouse
  • Conservative shoes
  • Limited jewelry (no dangling earrings or arms full of bracelets)
  • No jewelry is better than cheap jewelry
  • Professional hairstyle
  • Neutral pantyhose
  • Light make-up and perfume
  • Neatly manicured clean nails
  • Portfolio or briefcase
What Not to Bring to the Interview
  • Gum
  • Cell phone
  • Ipod
  • Coffee or soda
  • If you have lots of piercings, leave some of your rings at home (earrings only, is a good rule)
Interview Attire Tips
  • Before you even think about going on an interview, make sure you have appropriate interview attire and everything fits correctly.
  • Get your clothes ready the night before, so you don't have to spend time getting them ready on the day of the interview.
  • If your clothes are dry clean only, take them to the cleaners after an interview, so they are ready for next time.
  • Polish your shoes.
  • Bring a breath mint and use it before you enter the building.

~ at the end of semester as a master student~

Since this were 13 more days left for me to be together with my roommate, my class mate, my block mate, my levels block mate and also include my course mate.... I had feeling that we will sad and cry when the ends day come.. last day I'm here in this university is on 13 February 2011... i wish that i will see you all again.. hopefully that we will success in this IT subject and also the others subject... i pray that we will become a good workers in the future, good husband or wife and good parents... i hope our memory will be last forever... here i ends with graduation lyrics by vitamin c....

"Graduation (Friends Forever)"

And so we talked all night about the rest of our lives
Where we're gonna be when we turn 25
I keep thinking times will never change
Keep on thinking things will always be the same
But when we leave this year we won't be coming back
No more hanging out cause we're on a different track
And if you got something that you need to say
You better say it right now cause you don't have another day
Cause we're moving on and we can't slow down
These memories are playing like a film without sound
And I keep thinking of that night in June
I didn't know much of love
But it came too soon
And there was me and you
And then we got real blue
Stay at home talking on the telephone
And we would get so excited and we'd get so scared
Laughing at ourselves thinking life's not fair
And this is how it feels

[1]
As we go on
We remember
All the times we
Had together
And as our lives change
From whatever
We will still be
Friends Forever

So if we get the big jobs
And we make the big money
When we look back now
Will our jokes still be funny?
Will we still remember everything we learned in school?
Still be trying to break every single rule
Will little brainy Bobby be the stockbroker man?
Can Heather find a job that won't interfere with her tan?
I keep, keep thinking that it's not goodbye
Keep on thinking it's a time to fly
And this is how it feels

[Repeat 1]

La, la, la, la:
Yeah, yeah, yeah
La, la, la, la:
We will still be friends forever

Will we think about tomorrow like we think about now?
Can we survive it out there?
Can we make it somehow?
I guess I thought that this would never end
And suddenly it's like we're women and men
Will the past be a shadow that will follow us 'round?
Will these memories fade when I leave this town
I keep, keep thinking that it's not goodbye
Keep on thinking it's a time to fly
[Repeat 1 (3x)]

~Steps to Becoming a Good Manager~

By Ralph Heibutzki

Becoming a manager means more than adopting a new title. To function effectively, good managers must promote an open atmosphere where creative thinking is encouraged. By treating employees like adults, good managers will maximize a company's performance, while allowing freedom to learn from whatever mistakes might occur along the way. In contrast, bad or mediocre managers share none of these traits, because they do not accept responsibility for their own shortcomings.

    Candor and Credit

Good managers let employees know where they stand, former General Electric CEO Jack Welch wrote in an April 2005 "Newsweek" essay. This tendency builds trust when managers must deliver bad news, such as imminent layoffs, says Welch. Good managers pass credit around when times are good--and take responsibility for ideas that go wrong. They resist the urge to kiss up or kick down, because they know that their abilities will eventually be recognized, according to Welch.

    Encouraging Creative Thinking

Encouraging an atmosphere where creative thinking flourishes is another prerequisite for any business to succeed, management guru Scott Berkun advised "Entrepreneur" in an August 2008 interview. Good managers treat employees like people and allow them to make mistakes--as long as they learn from them, according to Berkun. This philosophy goes against the punitive perfectionism that managers are often taught to implement--but its simplicity is much more effective, says Berkun.

    Making Unpopular Decisions

While good managers seek out their employees' feedback, they also know how to make tough calls such as cutting funding for projects or letting people go, says Welch. Tough calls will meet resistance, so good managers must prepare to explain their reasoning, and then move forward. To lead effectively, managers must realize they were not chosen to win popularity contests, since they must often base decisions on incomplete information, says Welch.

    Resisting Micromanagement Tendencies

Good managers avoid spending countless hours on minor items, according to consultant and employee pollster David Sirota. Having surveyed numerous Fortune 500 companies, Sirota recalled seeing many bad examples of managerial micromanagement such as employees asking permission for restroom breaks, he told "Fortune" in September 2006. Managers who treat employees like children create a culture that destroys morale and undermines performance, according to Sirota.

    Setting the Example

Getting employees to take risks does not happen unless the manager sets the example, says Welch. On learning about another company's good idea, Welch would return to General Electric "and make a scene," he recalled, in his "Newsweek" article. Although such behavior sometimes overstated the case for a particular idea, at least employees knew he was enthusiastic about it. Unless managers live with their ideas first, they will have a harder time getting employees to accept them, says Welch.

5 Easy Steps to Applying Makeup

By Julia Anderson

Step 1: Foundation

After cleansing, toning and moisturizing your face, apply a small amount of foundation to the tip of your index finger. Dot on your forehead, nose, cheeks and chin; then blend in an upward and outward motion without leaving a line. Be sure to apply foundation over your eyelids and blend carefully. Glance in the mirror to ensure there's no line. You can use a concealer to cover imperfections such as blemishes and dark spots.

Step 2: Translucent Powder

Using a powder brush apply translucent powder in a downward motion for a smooth finish. Translucent Powder helps eye makeup and blush to go on smoother and blend better. It also keeps your face looking fresh and your makeup will last longer.

Step 3: Eye Makeup

Starting at your lash line, apply your base color first. Then apply your crease color in the crease area. Apply your highlight color in the highlight color area, below the brow bone. Finally, blend the colors with a cotton ball or your fingertip to remove any obvious line. If the colors are too bright tone them down with a little translucent powder. Next, apply your mascara and finally, dust your entire face downward with translucent powder.

Step 4: Blush

Your blush should be applied to the apples of your cheeks to radiate when you smile. It should go no closer to your nose, but directly beneath the iris of your eye; below nostril-level and into your temple hairline. A must-have: a good blush brush that's tapered for precise placement.

Step 5: Lipstick

Define the outline of your lips with a professional lip brush or lip liner pencil that closely matches the color of your lipstick. Then apply your lipstick and blend the liner with a lip brush. Start from the center working outwards.

~stress management tips~

Stress test and stress management tips? That is what I want to share to you today. For a simple stress test just follow two steps. First, be aware and check your breathing every now and then during the day. If you feel it was shallow, you are tensed; if it seems labored you are exhausted; and if you are breathing evenly, that is good news because it just means you are feeling good and relaxed. Second, listen to your body. Most of us know if our body is reacting to stress – stomach hurts, you suddenly feel headache or become irritable, and, or your neck tensed up. So simple stress test, right? It was meant to be simple for you to easily check if you are under stress so you can quickly take steps to deal with the stressful situations and be more religious to your stress management.
Here are my simple stress management tips for you:
Always find time for exercise or some vigorous physical activities at least 30 minutes a day. Exercise release anti-stress hormone from the brain.

Take some time to relax. If you have given some time to face stressful situation then you need to follow it with time for relaxation. For those who have sedentary jobs and feel exhausted from mental fatigue, sports like swimming, volleyball, badminton, tennis and other sports that requires you to be on a group is the best anti-mental exhaustion reliever. Family exercise is the best example for it. Then, bored your mind into relaxation. Sit down then close your eyes and do nothing. Few minutes from doing this, you will be on relaxation state.
Meditation or repeating a focus word is a great way of relaxation too. Find a quiet place, sit down, close your eyes then relax your muscles. Keep your breathing slow and natural then concentrate on it. Discard stray thoughts that comes into your mind. Start repeating a focus word or phrase with each relaxation.
Find some ways to slow down. Get up 30 minutes early for you to have extra time to sit and read the paper or an inspirational book before leaving for work. Then, when you get to your job, take some time to sit in the car for an extra two minutes to prepare yourself for the day’s work.
Share and experience love daily. It is not enough that you know you love your family, friends and co-workers. Show it to them by sweet smile, touch and some caring acts. This actions will come right back to you.
It will be a great pleasure for me if you take some time to share some stress test and stress management tips you know on comment section.

Food pyramid

Actually there was a lot of food pyramid in the world such as pyramid below..
This is for asian people like us...
This is for american...
 This is for the Meditterranean..

All this i got from www.healthnotes.com

10 tips for healthy eating

  • Eat a variety of nutrient-rich foods. You need more than 40 different nutrients for good health, and no single food supplies them all. Your daily food selection should include bread and other whole-grain products; fruits; vegetables; dairy products; and meat, poultry, fish and other protein foods. How much you should eat depends on your calorie needs. Use the Food Guide Pyramid and the Nutrition Facts panel on food labels as handy references.

  • Enjoy plenty of whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Surveys show most Americans don't eat enough of these foods. Do you eat 6-11 servings from the bread, rice, cereal and pasta group, 3 of which should be whole grains? Do you eat 2-4 servings of fruit and 3-5 servings of vegetables? If you don't enjoy some of these at first, give them another chance. Look through cookbooks for tasty ways to prepare unfamiliar foods.

  • Maintain a healthy weight. The weight that's right for you depends on many factors including your sex, height, age and heredity. Excess body fat increases your chances for high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, some types of cancer and other illnesses. But being too thin can increase your risk for osteoporosis, menstrual irregularities and other health problems. If you're constantly losing and regaining weight, a registered dietitian can help you develop sensible eating habits for successful weight management. Regular exercise is also important to maintaining a healthy weight.

  • Eat moderate portions. If you keep portion sizes reasonable, it's easier to eat the foods you want and stay healthy. Did you know the recommended serving of cooked meat is 3 ounces, similar in size to a deck of playing cards? A medium piece of fruit is 1 serving and a cup of pasta equals 2 servings. A pint of ice cream contains 4 servings. Refer to the Food Guide Pyramid for information on recommended serving sizes.

  • Eat regular meals. Skipping meals can lead to out-of-control hunger, often resulting in overeating. When you're very hungry, it's also tempting to forget about good nutrition. Snacking between meals can help curb hunger, but don't eat so much that your snack becomes an entire meal.

  • Reduce, don't eliminate certain foods. Most people eat for pleasure as well as nutrition. If your favorite foods are high in fat, salt or sugar, the key is moderating how much of these foods you eat and how often you eat them.Identify major sources of these ingredients in your diet and make changes, if necessary. Adults who eat high-fat meats or whole-milk dairy products at every meal are probably eating too much fat. Use the Nutrition Facts panel on the food label to help balance your choices.Choosing skim or low-fat dairy products and lean cuts of meat such as flank steak and beef round can reduce fat intake significantly. If you love fried chicken, however, you don't have to give it up. Just eat it less often. When dining out, share it with a friend, ask for a take-home bag or a smaller portion.

  • Balance your food choices over time. Not every food has to be "perfect." When eating a food high in fat, salt or sugar, select other foods that are low in these ingredients. If you miss out on any food group one day, make up for it the next. Your food choices over several days should fit together into a healthy pattern.

  • Know your diet pitfalls. To improve your eating habits, you first have to know what's wrong with them. Write down everything you eat for three days. Then check your list according to the rest of these tips. Do you add a lot of butter, creamy sauces or salad dressings? Rather than eliminating these foods, just cut back your portions. Are you getting enough fruits and vegetables? If not, you may be missing out on vital nutrients.

  • Make changes gradually. Just as there are no "superfoods" or easy answers to a healthy diet, don't expect to totally revamp your eating habits overnight. Changing too much, too fast can get in the way of success. Begin to remedy excesses or deficiencies with modest changes that can add up to positive, lifelong eating habits. For instance, if you don't like the taste of skim milk, try low-fat. Eventually you may find you like skim, too.

  • Remember, foods are not good or bad. Select foods based on your total eating patterns, not whether any individual food is "good" or "bad." Don't feel guilty if you love foods such as apple pie, potato chips, candy bars or ice cream. Eat them in moderation, and choose other foods to provide the balance and variety that are vital to good health.

Job Interview Tips Practice

Practice, answering interview questions and practice your responses to the typical job interview questions and answers most employers ask. Think of actual examples you can use to describe your skills. Providing evidence of your successes is a great way to promote your candidacy.

Prepare, a response so you are ready for the question "What do you know about our company. Know the interviewer's name and use it during the job interview. If you're not sure of the name, call and ask prior to the interview. Try to relate what you know about the company when answering questions.

Get Ready, Make sure your interview attire is neat, tidy and appropriate for the type of firm you are interviewing with. Bring a nice portfolio with copies of your resume. Include a pen and paper for note taking.

Be On Time, Be on time for the interview. On time means five to ten minutes early. If need be, take some time to drive to the office ahead of time so you know exactly where you are going and how long it will take to get there.

Stay Calm, During the job interview try to relax and stay as calm possible. Take a moment to regroup. Maintain eye contact with the interviewer. Listen to the entire question before you answer and pay attention - you will be embarrassed if you forget the question!

Show What You Know, Try to relate what you know about the company when answering questions. When discussing your career accomplishments match them to what the company is looking for.

Follow Up, Always follow-up with a thank you note reiterating your interest in the position. If you interview with multiple people send each one a thank you note.

~Awaken Lyrics~

We were given so many prizes
We changed the desert into oasis
We built buildings of different lengths and sizes
And we felt so very satisfied
We bought and bought
We couldn’t stop buying
We gave charity to the poor ’cause
We couldn’t stand their crying
We thought we paid our dues
But in fact
To ourselves we’re just lying
Oh
I’m walking with my head lowered in shame from my place
I’m walking with my head lowered from my race
Yes it’s easy to blame everything on the west
When in fact all focus should be on ourselves
We were told what to buy and we’d bought
We went to London, Paris and
We made show we were seen in the most exlusive shops
Yes we felt so very satisfied
We felt our money gave us infinite power
We forgot to teach our children about history and honor
We didn’t have any time to lose
When we were.. (were)
So busy feeling so satisfied
I’m walking with my head lowered in shame from my place
I’m walking with my head lowered from my race
Yes it’s easy to blame everything on the west
When in fact all focus should be on ourselves
We became the visuals without a soul
despite the heat
Our homes felt so empty and cold
To fill the emptiness
We bought and bought
Maybe all the fancy cars
And bling will make us feel satisfied
My dear brother and sister
It’s time to change inside
Open your eyes
Don’t throw away what’s right aside
Before the day comes
When there’s nowhere to run and hide
Now ask yourself ’cause Allah’s watching you
Is He satisfied?
Is Allah satisfied?
Is Allah satisfied?
Is Allah satisfied?
Oh
I’m walking with my head lowered in shame from my place
I’m walking with my head lowered from my race
Yes it’s easy to blame everything on the west
